Weddings

Context for Planning

My intent is to orchestrate for you a wonderfully tailored, mindfully crafted, beatifully executed unique ceremony experience that balances moving and heartfelt with grounded and realistic. The average time spent to fulfill this involves five engagements; our introduction meeting, two consultations, your rehearsal event and wedding day. Rehearsal and wedding days commonly involve an entire afternoon or evening, effectively a half to full day's commitment. Further communications add time. A superbly done officiating job requires at least 20 hours of service. More importantly, fees are based upon the rich experience, expression and memories we bring throughout the process and final result.

On average, professional Officiant fees range between $500 and $800.      -The Knot

...plan to spend $800 total on any ceremony fees and Officiant donations...  - Brides.com

* These are median figures applicable to anytown USA. We are based in the urban core of Seattle. Most Officiants do not provide ceremony plans or coordinate your rehearsal with your wedding party and every aspect of your ceremony.

www.weddingofficiants.com/wedding-officiant-cost

Ask any event coordinator, planner or venue owner if typical Officiants create the entire ceremony including entrances and exits or if they run the rehearsal and you'll likely hear no. Ask if they know Officiants who also DJ, host and emcee at the same wedding and you'll likely get a surprised look. Booking Love's Events secures an engaged passionate expert to run, direct and facilitate your rehearsal AND craft your unique ceremony and reception flow and content, not merely attend and recite them.

Duration of ceremony is not a fee determinant. All great ceremonies today are appropriately focused and brief. It's about collective mindfulness, depth, quality and feel. It's a delicate art to quickly take a group to a deeply shared experience.

Matthew was the Officiant and DJ /Emcee for my daughters wedding in September and we were so happy she picked him. He is so organized and everything went so perfectly thanks to his attention to all the details!! But my favorite thing about Matthew is how much fun he is and how easy to work with. He really was a large part of her wedding being the fun and wonderful day that it was. He is worth every penny!!     - Lise Buss

Please Inquire about our Elopement and Intimate Wedding Services

The principal characteristic here is no rehearsal event. The most moving spot-on experiences include this key gathering, less for logistics and more for synergy, rapport and familiarity that informs your ceremony. Nonetheless, often today we might elect to gather a smaller group at a private room in a restaurant or other place to conduct an intimate ceremony with no official wedding party. In this case, we can modify our service offerings to meet your needs and budget.

Travel

The Northwest Market

I'm located in the heart of urban Seattle near Volunteer Park. I'm happy to drive most anywhere in the Puget Sound area, considered the greater Everett, Seattle and Tacoma areas, and east on the I 90 corridor to North Bend, effectively a 40 mile radius from Seattle. I cap it at 3 hours one way. For further locations such as Leavenworth for example, I assess a simple fee of $100 for the round trip. That figure is based upon about a two hour drive time each way, or $25 per hour on the road up to three hours. For example, were your wedding a three hour drive from Seattle, the travel fee would only be $150 for the full round trip of six hours on the road. This is a guideline based on requests for location weddings effectively requiring the entire day. Locations requiring special accomodation such as ferry round trips or park entrances will be charged that cost.

The Contiguous US, Remote and Exotic Locales

I am delighted to travel to just about any location for your special destination wedding. My typcial fee for domestic round trip flights, accomodation and auto rental average $1500.

Given the huge difference between the Hawaiian Islands in the Pacific and the Maldives in the Indian Ocean for example, remote and exotic destinations are considered case by case. Your host hotel or resort often includes your vendor accomodations in their pricing so adjustments are made for that. The average cost for each location from Seattle is a reasonable expectation.

Other Considerations

Contract agreements may be drafted and presented remotely via email or during our first planning consultation. The service package level best suited to your needs and desires may be determined prior via phone and email.

DATE and TIME Reservations  Weekends during the wedding season, (May through October; especially August and September) are highly desired and book quickly. Your date shall be provisionally reserved if available and locked down upon receipt of 50% of your contract value within three days of our first live consultation or remote consultation if out of state.

Gratuities  After all is finally said and done, only then may the truest perceived value be determined. This is a very personal service and your choice will always be honored. Often, fees are agreed upon and clients are so delighted, they add a thank-you bonus, which is always appreciatively and graciously received.

Corporate, Non-Profit and Athletic Events

Master of Ceremonies

It is wonderfully affordable to bring a professional to your event. This is open for discussion due to the many variables of time and service for each job as well as the highly variant nature of the jobs. A 5K run is much simpler and shorter than a triathlon or swim meet, while moderating a large corporate conference is on an entirely different level. Emceeing an evening fundraiser dinner and auction is a unique and dynamic affair and one I enjoy as several hats are really necessary for a successful evening. Appearances and announcing services for smaller simple jobs may start for as little as $600. For annual or monthly repeat gatherings such as athletic and other community events, a dynamic and memorable experience builds loyalty, attendance and lends itself to bigger and more lucrative sponsorship's and a growing following. It is satisfying and enjoyable to help annual events mature into larger more successful ones over time.
