Weddings
I'm ready to create a wonderfully crafted beautifully executed experience, balancing heartfelt with grounded and realistic. This requires an investment of time and openness to get a little vulnerable and listen with a willingness to possibly be changed by it. I NEVER stop learning and growing and my clients are a huge part of that. Every experience has something to offer those who look.
Ask any coordinator, planner or venue owner if typical officiants create the entire ceremony including entrances, exits, logistics and facilitating the rehearsal and you'll likely hear no. Ask if they know officiants who also DJ, host and emcee at the same wedding and you'll get a very surprised look. Booking Love's Events secures a passionate expert to run, direct and facilitate your rehearsal AND craft your unique ceremony and reception flow and content, not merely attend and recite them.
Duration is not a fee determinant. All great ceremonies are reasonably brief, (15-25 minutes). From an intimate elopement to the grandest affair, be it the 4 or 400 of us it's similar work for me. We've all experienced an hour that feels like minutes and minutes that feel like an eternity. It's about your best experience. Duration has little to do with that but there IS such a thing as too short, a lost opportunity. There are plenty of options for that like Vegas and judges.
I strive for the BEST which requires a great partnership. My commitment to you and your fiancé is communicative follow through, engagement in the process and responsiveness. I need much of the same from you.
We've got this!
Matthew was the Officiant and DJ /emcee for my daughters wedding in September and we were so happy she picked him. He is so organized and everything went so perfectly thanks to his attention to all the details!! But my favorite thing about Matthew is how much fun he is and how easy to work with. He really was a large part of her wedding being the fun and wonderful day that it was. He is worth every penny!! -Lise Buss

I can't say enough about Matthew Love. We met him at a wedding show and knew pretty instantly that we had to have him as our officiant and later decided to have him DJ/emcee too. He is not your average vendor. His passion and love for what he does comes through in every way. He spent many hours meeting with and customizing everything to us...which was enjoyable and a lot of fun. He also guided us in areas that I wouldn't have expected but was so right on. The decisions were always up to us but his advice was above and beyond and though we didn't always go with his sugestions, in hindsight, we probably should have, lol! Matthew is one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. He did an incredible job with the music and emceeing. He kept the party going, got in all our music and even found a better version than I did for my bridal entrance and shared it at a meeting...his was just perfect. Just everything was amazing about working with him and we cannot recommend him enough. - Lindsey and Chip Frolich

Matthew officiated and DJ/MC’d our wedding at Hangar 30 and we honestly can’t say enough of ALL the good things about him. Matthew was a joy and a true partner in the process. He really took the time over several meetings to get to know us, learn about our families and our vision. The result of this collaboration really shows in a ceremony that is as unique as your relationship and promises that you can truly live by. As MC, Mathew is a true asset. One of the most important aspects of the day for us was that the flow of the reception felt natural but also engaging for our guests. Matthew helped us craft the timeline and on the day of worked with our vendors to execute while keeping guests engaged and informed. In the end, we laughed (so much), we cried (happy tears) and we wholeheartedly recommend hiring Matthew for your event. - Bethany and Marc Carvalho
We LOVE Matthew Love! Matthew, you were an amazing officiant, emcee, and day-of coordinator, and we couldn't have pulled off this wedding without your words of wisdom and enthusiastic support! And you really nailed your lines in our wedding video (you'll see...), just like the untrammeled professional that you are! We really appreciate how thoughtful, caring, and loving you have been as our love has grown over the years, and we can't wait to continue our adventures as (dancing) newlyweds! -Faraz and Laura Zarghami

Travel
The Northwest Market
I'm located in the heart of urban Seattle. I'm happy to drive anywhere in the greater Seattle, Bellevue/Kirkland and Tacoma areas, and east on the I 90 corridor to North Bend, effectively a 40 mile radius from Seattle. My most common venue partners are within a mile or two, reflected in my pricing. For further locations, often requiring 2-4 hours travel time one way, I add a modest fee of $500 (always applicable to the Kitsap/Olympic Peninsula) for added time, fuel, and modest accommodations (Hilton Garden Inns etc.) the evening prior. This is the best way to support your most amazing wedding weekend, rehearsal to completion. The reduction of drive time lowers the risk of unforeseen problems and empowers me to be relaxed and present for you. Locations requiring special accommodation such as ferry trips or park entrances will be charged that cost. FERRY'S in high season are a BIG wildcard, increasing the risk for problems.
The US, Remote and Exotic Locales
I am delighted to travel anywhere for your destination wedding. My typical fee for domestic round trip flights, accommodations and auto rental average $2000, overseas will be more. This is covering costs only.
Given the huge difference between the Hawaiian Islands and the Maldives in the Indian Ocean for example, remote and exotic destinations are considered case by case. Your host hotel or resort often includes your vendor accommodations so be sure to check with them. The average cost for each location from Seattle is a reasonable expectation.
Other Considerations
Contracts may be drafted and presented remotely or in person during our first planning consultation. Your best service package may be determined prior to meeting live.
DATE and TIME Reservations Weekends during the wedding season, (May through September) book quickly, even two years out. Your date is locked down upon the execution of our contract meaning I have your signature and down payment, typically 50%. Careful consideration is important but we must keep moving forward. First contact to booking averages two weeks.
Gratuities After all is said and done, only then may the truest value be known. It's a very personal service and your choice will always be honored. Often, fees are agreed upon and clients add a thank-you bonus, always appreciatively received.
Speaking Engagements
These generally involve executive directors, corporate event planners, non profit board members and speaking bureaus. I specialize in personal growth, recovery and discovery, and how to live our most content and fulfilled lives with inner peace. Let's talk!
